Dツール：”日⇒英”演習簡易ツール
本編ブログでは２部構成（1. この一言で腑に落ちる？／２．次の補足でご納得？）に分かれ、英語音声も各文毎に分かれていますが、この演習ツールではファイルを絞る為、１と２の2ファイルの構成になっています。また日本語だけ演習向けに（不自然にならない範囲で日英の語順を合わせる様に）編集しています。👉今回のツールは１（2文）と２（6文）のバランスが良くないので、建築の2-1（2文）を１に置いています。（要約しますと１も２も4文構成になっています。）

1. この一言で腑に落ちる？
1.1 タイムマシンで過去に戻ったような感覚？
- 五箇山（ごかやま）は、その名の通り「五つの山」を意味し、山深くにある小さな農村で、約100人がおよそ30戸の家に暮らしています。この村が知られているのは世界的にも珍しい合掌造りの建築様式で、何百年もの間、地元の人々の暮らしを通じて受け継がれていて、世界遺産登録につながりました。静かな風景と生活空間は数世紀にわたり変わらず、まるでタイムマシンで過去に戻ったような感覚になるかもしれません。
- Gokayama, which literally means “five mountains,” is a small farming village nestled deep in the mountains, home to about 100 people living in just 30 houses. The village is known for its globally distinctive Gassho-zukuri style architecture, which has been preserved through the local lifestyle for hundreds of years and contributed to its designation as a World Heritage Site. The serene landscapes and living spaces, unchanged for centuries, may give you the feeling of being transported by a time machine.
1.2 日本人でさえ忘れてしまった原風景？
- 五箇山は、隣接する白川郷とともに世界遺産に登録されている山村で、その伝統的な集落と暮らしを今に残しています。両村とも、際立って合理的で芸術性も高い合掌造り建築で訪れる人々を魅了します。しかしながら、特におすすめなのは五箇山で、規模が小さいため、知名度のわりに観光客が少ないのです。かつての日本の原風景を静かに垣間見せてくれていて、それは今の日本人でさえ忘れてしまったものかもしれません。
- Gokayama, along with neighboring Shirakawa-go, is a mountain village designated as a World Heritage Site for preserving its unique traditional group housing and lifestyle to this day. Both villages impress visitors with the remarkably rational and artistic architecture of Gassho-zukuri. However, Gokayama is especially recommended, as its smaller scale attracts fewer tourists despite its fame. It offers a quiet glimpse of the original Japanese landscape—one even many Japanese may have forgotten.

2.1 建築（匠：たくみ）系
👉a）村に不釣り合いな巨大なとんがり帽子の様な家？
- 五箇山の最大の魅力は、その巨大で尖った、トンガリ帽子に似た合掌造りの家々で、山あいの小さな村には不釣り合いなほど大きいのです。急こう配の茅葺き屋根は、住空間を最大限に確保するためだけでなく豪雪から守る為のものでもあります。内部は、柱や梁が柔らかい木材と縄で縛られ、風や地震に対して柔軟性を持たせていて、地元調達できる材料だけを使った、合理的な工夫です。これらの家々の一つひとつの要素が、合理的に設計されていて芸術的に美しく、本当に見る価値のあるものです。

👉b)白川郷と一味違う五箇山建築？
- 合掌造り建築に興味がある方には、同じく世界遺産である白川郷と比較しながら五箇山を訪れることを強くおすすめします。白川郷では、約100棟の似たような家々が、同じ方向に整然と並んでいて風や日照を考慮してありますが、それと違い、五箇山は家の造りや配置に多様性がある点で際立っています。切妻に寄棟を組み合わせたような屋根や、一部の家に見られる豪華な構造から、合掌造りがこの地域の歴史や自然環境に合わせて独自に発展してきたことを物語っています。
- For those interested in Gassho-zukuri architecture, visiting Gokayama in comparison to Shirakawa-go—another World Heritage Site—is highly recommended.Unlike Shirakawa-go, where around a hundred similar houses are neatly aligned in the same direction to optimize wind and sunlight, Gokayama stands out for the variety in how its houses are built and arranged.The presence of gabled yet half-hipped roofs and the elaborate structure of certain houses reflect how the architectural style evolved uniquely in response to the local history and natural environment.
2.2 ファッション系
👉映画の主人公になったような舞台？
- 五箇山は美しい写真が撮れる絶好の環境を年間通して提供してくれます。春の新緑、夏の青々とした田んぼ、秋の紅葉、そして冬の雪景色です。自分の写真には静かで小さな村にそびえ立つ合掌造りの家々が背景があり、それはまるで映画セットの中の主人公になったかのように見えるかもしれません。
- Gokayama offers a perfect setting for beautiful photography throughout the year—fresh greenery in spring, lush rice fields in summer, vibrant autumn leaves in fall, and snow-covered landscapes in winter. A photo of yourself with the towering Gassho-zukuri houses rising above the quiet, small village in the background might make you look like the main character on a movie set.
2.3 アート系
👉和紙体験でプチアーティスト気分？
- 五箇山では、伝統的な手作りの和紙が作られれていて、使われているのが古来からの技法で何百年にもわたって受け継がれています。楮（こうぞ）などの天然素材から作られる和紙は、書や工芸の美しさを引き立てるだけでなく、それ自体が一つの芸術作品として評価されています。さまざまな和紙製品が展示されていて、約1時間ほどでできる手すき体験も可能で、少しの間、ちょっとした“アーティスト気分”を味わえます。

👉枕の様に硬い五箇山豆腐は食べ過ぎにご用心？
- 五箇山では、自然素材で作られた合掌造りの家だけでなく、地元の食材を使った伝統的な料理も味わえます。注目のひとつは「五箇山豆腐」であまりの硬さと弾力にしばしば冗談で枕に比べられます。さまざまな調理法で味わえて、冷ややっこ、湯豆腐、焼き豆腐、揚げ出し豆腐などあります。ただし、食べ過ぎにはご注意を。そうすれば山菜のワラビやゼンマイ、山の清流で育ったイワナ（岩魚）も味わえます。
- In Gokayama, you can appreciate not only the Gassho-zukuri houses made from natural materials, but also traditional meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients.One highlight is Gokayama Tofu—so firm and chewy that it’s often jokingly compared to a pillow. It can be enjoyed in various ways: chilled, simmered, grilled, or deep-fried.
Just be careful not to eat too much of it—so you still have room to enjoy mountain vegetables like warabi (bracken) and zenmai (royal fern), as well as iwana, a type of char raised in the area’s clear mountain streams.
2.5 日本人系
👉日本人の心の奥底がわかる秘境？
- そこにはある有名な伝説がありまして、約1,000年前に日本を治めていた武士たちが、政争に敗れて五箇山へ逃れ、定住したと言うのです。一部で信じられているのが、この地にしかない楽器や踊りは、彼らの過去の栄光を偲んで生まれたと言うもので、この辺鄙な村の静かな謎っぽさとピッタリはまり、また、多くの日本人の心を深くかき立てます。地元の資料館では、その楽器に触れたり、踊りの映像を鑑賞したりすることができます。もし貴方が踊り手の笠で顔を隠すその所作に、追手から逃げている様な哀しみを感じるなら、あなたは日本人の隠された心情を垣間見れたのかもしれません。
- There is a famous legend that fallen warriors who once ruled Japan fled and settled in Gokayama about 1,000 years ago after being defeated in a political conflict.Some believe that the unique musical instruments and dances found only in this region were created to remember the glory of their past—fitting the quiet mystery of this remote village and stirring deep emotion in many Japanese. At a local museum, you can try the instruments and watch a video of the dance. If you sense sorrow in the way the dancers hide their faces with their hats—as if fleeing from pursuers—you may have glimpsed the hidden heart of Japan.
