🚩Specific？Selective⁉どう違う❓『こだわり』方の最頻出10表現で通訳ガイド案内力UP＠反復音声付

　本ブログではインバウンド（訪日外国人）ビジネスだけでなく企業接待や留学生対応で英語案内が必要ながら、多忙で情報収集に中々時間をかけられない方々の為に、すぐに使える情報をわかりやすく解説しています。👉このシリーズでは簡単な英語表現を身に付けながらネイティブとの共感英語力アップ（単に知っていたり考えながら言うレベルから自然に表現できるレベル）を目的にしています。

　今回テーマは「こだわり」度が相手にも伝わる高頻出度順10表現です。いずれも日常会話や職場でもよく使われ、相互に入れ替えも可能ですが、地域、個人、文脈によりその意味や使い方は微妙に異なりますので、その違いを理解し更に自然に使い分けられることでネイティブとの通訳力やガイド力も高められます。

　但し何事も分かっていても自然に口から出る様になるまでは、定期的な練習が必要ですので、このシリーズでは解説と例文紹介の最後に反復用の英語音声サンプルを置いています。色々な英語に慣れる為、各文例毎に話者（米国、英国、オーストラリア、インド等の男女話者）を変えています。速度も通常速度版と85%低速版（同時通訳速度レベルの約120wpm）2種類ありますのでお好みでお試し下さい。👉反復用例文は３パターン（❶プライベート❷職場❸訪日外国人案内）に分けて展開していますので、お好みや必要性に合わせてお試しください。

最頻出10表現とその主な違い

　ここでは各表現の本来の意味あいと夫々の微妙な違いについてご説明します。

1. Specific:
   • その時々の指示、詳細、または要件において明確さや正確さが求められる時に使用されます。
2. Selective:
   • 個人的な好みや基準に基づいて選択する際に使用されます。
3. Particular:
   • ‘selective’に似ていますが、特定の嗜好や基準が強調されています。
4. Choosy:
   • こだわりが強い、好みにうるさいなど、やや否定的な意味合いがあります。
5. Discerning:
   • 洞察力や理解力に基づき、注意深く区別したり判断したりする能力があることを示唆しています。
6. Meticulous:
   • 非常に徹底的で正確であることを示し、しばしば細部にまで注意を払うときに使用されます。
7. Fussy:
   • 些細なことを気にしすぎたり、気難しいことを示しています。
8. Fastidious:
   • ‘meticulous’と似ていますが、清潔さや正しさへの過度の拘りが強調されています。
9. Exacting:
   • 非常に高い指標を持ち、正確さや完璧さへの期待感を表しています。
10. Nitpicky: Carries a negative connotation, implying being overly critical or finding fault with minor details.
    • 否定的な意味合いを持ち、過度に批判的であったり、些細な欠点探しをする意味合いがあります。
