Dツール：”日⇒英”演習簡易ツール
本編ブログでは２部構成（1. この一言で腑に落ちる？／２．次の補足でご納得？）に分かれ、英語音声も各文毎に分かれていますが、この演習ツールではファイルを絞る為、１（1,2）と２（前半1-3と後半4-5)の３ファイルの構成になっています。また日本語だけ演習向けに（英語の対訳に、また不自然にならない範囲で日英の語順を合わせる様に）編集しています。

1. この一言で腑に落ちる？
1.1 侍のリアルな価値観と生活様式を体感？
- 金沢はしばしば「侍の街」と呼ばれますが、多くの武家屋敷を抱えています。その中でも寺島武家屋敷は際立っていて、200年以上にわたり変わらぬ姿を保ち続けています。多くの復元された武家屋敷とは異なり、ここでは住まいの華やかさより精神性を重んじている侍の価値観と生活様式を本当に覗かせてくれます。
- Kanazawa, often called the city of samurai, is home to many samurai residences. Among them, the Terashima Samurai House stands out, preserving buildings that have remained unchanged for over 200 years. Unlike many restored samurai homes, it offers visitors an authentic glimpse into the values and lifestyle of the samurai, who prioritized spirituality over the grandeur of their dwellings.
1.2 アメリカ独立戦争当時の屋敷？
- アメリカ独立戦争の頃である18世紀後半に建てられた寺島蔵人邸は、つい最近まで侍の子孫が暮らしていました。数少ない復元でない本物の武家屋敷の一つであり、金沢で唯一一般公開されている屋敷です。中級武士でありこの家に名を残した寺島蔵人は、金沢城で重要な役職を務めただけでなく、日本画や書道に長けた文化人でもありました。質素で静謐な屋敷と庭園は侍のストイックさと洗練さを体現していて魅力的なところです。
- Built in the late 18th century during the American Revolutionary War, the Terashima Kurando Residence remained home to the samurai’s descendants until recently. It is one of the few non-restored, authentic samurai residences, and the only one in Kanazawa open to the public. Kurando, a middle-class samurai who gave his name to this residence, was not only a key figure at Kanazawa Castle but also a cultured man skilled in Japanese painting and calligraphy. The simple, tranquil house and garden, embodying samurai stoicism and refinement, make for a fascinating visit.

2.1 建築（匠：たくみ）系

- The Terashima Residence is valuable not just for its age, but for its remarkable preservation of Japanese architectural techniques, the refined aesthetic sense of its craftsmen, and the Takumi craftsmanship of its time—all embodied within a middle-class samurai residence.For example, the tea room, built in the sukiya style, reflects a pursuit of beauty that is both simple and sophisticated. Then, there’s the bush warbler corridor, where the floorboards creak as people walk, producing a sound like a bird’s chirp—an ingenious security feature.Here, you can experience the thoughtful design and ingenuity typically found only in upper-class architecture, discovering it as intimately as if uncovering a hidden gem.
2.2 ファッション系
👉星の様なドウダンツツジの白い花をバックに？
- 椿、山茶花、イロハモミジを含む約200本の木々があることで、この庭園では年間通して美しい写真を撮ることができます。春には、樹齢300年のドウダンツツジの白い花が星のように輝き、秋には、鮮やかな紅葉が庭園を魅惑的な景色にし、まるで降り注ぐ雨のようです。夜になると、ライトアップされた風景がまったく異なる雰囲気を生み出し、訪れる人々はドラマチックで個性的な写真をこの息をのむような背景を背に撮ることができます。
- With over 200 trees, including camellias, sasanquas, and Japanese maples, the garden offers stunning photo opportunities year-round. In spring, the white flowers of the 300-year-old Japanese enkianthus tree shine like stars, while in autumn, the brilliant foliage transforms the garden into a mesmerizing scene, resembling falling rain. At night, the illuminated landscape creates a completely different atmosphere, allowing visitors to capture dramatic and personalized photos with these breathtaking backdrops.
2.3 アート系
👉芸術的な才能＆情熱を感じる群青の牡丹？
- 寺島邸に文字通りその名を刻む蔵人その人は、有能な武士であるだけでなく、優れた画家であり書家でもありました。彼の作品の多くが、風景画や竹・石を描いた絵、牡丹の絵を含め、展示されています。彼は特に牡丹を好み、頻繁に作品の中で描きました。彼が群青を惜しみなく使ったこと、そしてその高価な深みのある群青や藍の色調の顔料から、彼の芸術的才能だけでなく、洗練された美意識と芸術への深い情熱が感じられます。
- Kurando himself, whose name is literally inscribed on the Terashima Residence, was not only a capable samurai but also a skilled painter and calligrapher. Many of his works, including landscapes, bamboo and stone paintings, and peony paintings, are on display. He had a particular fondness for peonies, which he frequently depicted in his artwork. His generous use of Gunzei, a costly pigment in shades of ultramarine and indigo, allows us to appreciate not only his artistic talent but also his refined aesthetic sensibilities and deep passion for art.

- 寺島邸の茶室では、美しい庭園を眺めながら、日本の美意識を視覚と味覚で深く堪能することができます。抹茶とともに供される干菓子・落雁は寺島家の家紋である三つの輪が刻まれた特別製です。繊細な甘さと口の中でほろりと溶ける落雁の食感が、抹茶の苦味を引き立てます。全てが和菓子と茶道の伝統にあふれた金沢で繰り広げられるのです。
- At the teahouse of the Terashima Residence, you can immerse yourself in Japanese aesthetics both visually and through taste, while gazing at the tranquil garden. The dried confections, rakugan, served with matcha, are specially crafted with the Terashima family crest—three circles—imprinted on them. Savor the refined sweetness and delicate, melt-in-your-mouth texture of rakugan, which enhances the bitterness of matcha. All of this unfolds in Kanazawa, a city renowned for its rich tradition of Japanese confectionery and tea ceremony culture.

👉水無き泉の庭園で日本人の精神性がわかる？
- 池のある回遊式庭園の形式を持ちながらも、この庭の池には水がありません。それは『乾泉（けんせん）』と名付けられ、文字通り“枯れた泉”を意味し、それは当時の著名な芸術家が記した額に刻まれています。これは単なる風景でなく、深い哲学的な意味を持っています。その概念は、形式こそ異なれど、禅寺の枯山水庭園と通じるものがあります。これは日本独特の美意識『見立て』によるもので、水がなくてもその存在を感じ、石を山や島に見立てるという感覚です。ぜひ乾泉を訪れ、日本人に深く根付いたその感性を体験されたらと思います。
- Although it follows the typical landscape garden style with ponds for strolling, this garden’s pond contains no water. It is named “Qiansen,” which literally means “dry spring” or “waterless pond,” and its name is even preserved on a plaque inscribed by a renowned artist of that era.More than just a landscape, it carries profound philosophical meaning. The concept aligns with the karesansui (dry landscape garden) of Zen temples, though its form differs. This reflects the uniquely Japanese aesthetic of ‘mitate,’ an imaginative perception where water is felt even in its absence, and stones evoke mountains and islands.
