黒部ダムの観光放水で日本人がよく分かる？

黒部ダムで夏から秋にかけて見られる迫力満点の「観光放水」を観ると日本人がより理解出来るかもしれません。
観光放水はただ水を流すのでなく細かな霧状に放水されます。
多くの人は観光客向けの演出と思っていますが、最大の目的は下流の川底と川岸（川の岩盤）を守るためなのです。
大量の水が200メートル近い高さから直下へ叩きつけられると、川底の岩盤が削り取られ、ダム自体の基礎を揺るがす危険があります。
